WELCOME RECEPTION AT READING TERMINAL MARKET
- ICM Attendee BADGES are REQUIRED to enter the Welcome Reception.

- What is the Reading Terminal Market (RTM)?
- RTM is an indoor, air-conditioned venue featuring a unique Interactive Dining and Dessert Experience. The Market Merchants will offer miniature, made-to-order menu items prepared fresh from their stands. Guests will travel to each Merchant to retrieve the prepared menu item to create the meal for the evening. The ICM celebration will also expand onto Filbert Street, a covered outdoor area, that will also offer refreshments and entertainment.
- What will the temperature be?
- In July, Philadelphia is usually a low of 72°F (22°C) and a high of 90°F (32°C).
- Where is check-in and when will doors open for the Welcome Reception at Reading Terminal Market (RTM) on Wednesday, July 22?
- The main entrance is at the corner of 12th Street & Filbert Street (Door Eight) under the RTM neon sign. A secondary entrance is at the corner of 12th Street & Filbert Street (Door Two). Both entrances are outside under covered areas. Doors open at 7:00 PM. All attendees are required to have an ICM badge for entry.
- What is the bag policy for the Welcome Reception?
- Large bags (backpacks, briefcases, duffels, luggage) aren’t allowed. Bags must be 12” x 6” x 12” or smaller.
- What should I bring to the Welcome Reception?
- Please bring your ICM badge and government issued ID (U.S. drinking age is 21 years old).

- Where can I park?
- If you will be driving, parking is available through the Philadelphia Convention Center website. Click here for more details and to reserve your spot head of time.

- Where is Registration and when is it open?
- Registration is located in the Broad Street Atrium at the Broad Street entrance doors of the Philadelphia Convention Center. The ICM badge pickup hours are as follows:

- Thursday, July 23 | 7:30 AM - 8:30 PM
- Friday, July 24 - Saturday, July 25 | 8:00 AM - 7:30 PM

SESSION SEATING
- What is the seating policy for all session sections and plenaries?
- Seating is limited and on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive early to ensure you are able to grab a seat for any session. Selecting an event in the Attendee Hub/Mobile App is for your reference only and does not entitle you to a seat. Designated ADA seating is available in all session rooms, including the Terrace Ballroom. Overflow seating will be available only for the Opening Ceremony on Thursday, July 23.
- What time do Terrace Ballroom (Plenary Sessions) doors open?
- Doors to Terrace Ballroom will open 30-minutes prior to when the plenary sessions begins.
ACCOMPANYING PERSONS & CHILDREN
- I am attending with a Registered Accompanying Person. Which events can they attend?
- Registered Accompanying Persons are permitted to the following events:
- Welcome Reception on Wednesday, July 22
- Opening Ceremony on Thursday, July 23
- Reception Honoring Jim Simons on Thursday, July 23
- Closing Ceremony on Thursday, July 30
- Public lectures
- Poster sessions and the exhibition hall
- Accompanying persons will not be permitted to enter any events other than those noted above by event security.
- Individuals accompanying participants with ADA considerations are permitted access to all sessions along with the participant.
- Registered Accompanying Persons are permitted to the following events:
- Are children permitted to attend the ICM?
- With the exception of the Math Festival on July 24 & 25, individuals under 18 years of age are not permitted at the Congress.
- Childcare information can be found here.
- Accommodations for nursing parents:
- The PACC has a Mamava lactation suite for nursing parents to breastfeed infants or to use breast pumps in privacy located on Level 1 in the hallway near Room 126. In addition to the Mamava lactation suite, nursing parents are welcome to nurse wherever they are comfortable.
- With the exception of the Math Festival on July 24 & 25, individuals under 18 years of age are not permitted at the Congress.
PUBLIC EVENTS
- What time can I enter the Pennsylvania Convention Center (PACC) for Public Events?
- Public Event attendees are welcome to enter PACC starting 1:00 PM daily from Friday, July 24 through Tuesday, July 28.
- What time can I line up for Public Lectures?
- Lines open 1-hour before each Public Lectures start time in Terrace Ballroom 1 (Level 4). Check the schedule for Public Lecture start times.
- When and where is the Math Festival? Who can attend?
- The Math Festival is open to the public from 2:00 - 6:00 PM on both Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25 in Expo Hall E (Level 2).
LUGGAGE CHECK
- Is Luggage Check available?
- Yes, but only on Thursday, July 23 from 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 29 from 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM and on Thursday, July 30 from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM. For all other days, please leave your luggage at your hotel as they will not be allowed into the PACC July 24-29.
MOBILE APP
- What is the ICM Attendee Hub and how do I build my agenda?
- ICM Attendee Hub is the event’s mobile app. Use the Attendee Hub to plan your schedule by favoriting sessions. They’ll appear in “My Schedule,” and you can update them anytime. Note: Adding a session does not guarantee entry—seating is first come, first served.
SECURITY & SAFETY
- What is the security screening policy at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (PACC)?
- All attendees and bags are subject to search and metal detector screening. Prohibited items (e.g., weapons, drugs, alcohol, large signage, noisemakers, drones) are not allowed—those in possession may be denied entry without a refund.
- Secondary screening may be required if an alarm sounds. Face coverings must be removed for identification (except religious/medical coverings, with alternative screening available). If you have a medical device or mobility concern, notify security for accommodations. Refusal to be screened may result in denied entry.
- What is the bag and water bottle policy at the PACC?
- Bags must be 18" × 14" × 8" or smaller and will be screened at entry. Oversized bags (large backpacks, totes, suitcases) aren’t allowed. Limited luggage check is available in the Broad Street Atrium on 7/23 and 7/30 ONLY. Personal water bottles are allowed, however, metal bottles must be removed from bags for screening. Bulky outerwear may need to be checked.
- I am presenting a Poster. Can I bring it in a poster tube?
- Yes, poster tubes are allowed in the PACC and are subject to security screening.
- Do I need an ICM badge to attend invite only Ancillary Events (i.e., receptions, films, etc.) at the PACC?
- Yes, any event hosted within the PACC requires attendees to have their ICM badge to enter the building.
- How do I report a security issue?
- Notify the nearest security officer or call Security Dispatch (215-418-4911) or via a beige colored house phone at ext. 4911 (operates 24/7). Provide as much detailed information as possible (photos help). For emergencies, call 911.
- Is there a Lost & Found?
- Yes, lost & found items will be at Registration in the Broad St Atrium on Level 1. Any items not collected by 2:30 pm, Thursday, July 30th will be taken to the 24-Hour Security Command Station at 13th & Race Street. Phone: 215-418-4911

- Where are the nearest hospitals or pharmacies?
- Nearest Hospital: Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (111 S 11th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107) or call 215-955-6000.
- Nearest Pharmacy: CVS (1046 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107) or call 215-592-1543. NOTE: Not a 24/7 location.
- Is there a police station nearby?
- Yes, the PACC has a dedicated on-site police substation located at 13th and Race Street.
